1My three style icons: Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, Jane Birkin, and Brigitte Bardot. I mean, it doesn’t get more chic than these three women. I can only dream of living up to their perfect execution of style—lol. I truly believe that mastering your own style means drawing from inspiration. Take everything you love from all sources, throw it together, and mix, mix, mix until you create your perfect version of style.

For me, I like to define my style in three words: timeless, effortless, and elegant. When I get dressed, I try to keep this in mind, reminding myself of what I want to communicate through my look. I love the feeling of being put-together yet relaxed. I like the appearance of minimal effort, where each piece speaks for itself.

But most importantly, style always starts with your basics—your go-tos. I’ve always believed in creating a strong foundation in your wardrobe. That means your everyday jeans, T-shirts, socks, undies—everything—should be of good quality. I can’t stress this enough: quality over quantity. Always.

Having pieces that stand the test of time, made with great materials, makes such a difference—it shows! So, this week, I wanted to share a list of my favorite closet essentials. My non-negotiables.
