Hi everyone!
If you didn’t know, my name is Monika Blunder, and I've been a celebrity makeup artist here in Los Angeles for over 20+ years. After many years of perfecting my professional makeup kit, I’ve picked up so many important organization hacks and tips that I just have to share. I haven’t written many makeup-focused posts here yet, and I’m so excited to share more about my craft on this platform. I love having the creative freedom to tell you everything I’ve learned over the years. Keep reading for my personal tips on how to organize your makeup kit—straight from my professional experience!

Less Is More

One of the biggest things I notice when visiting clients or friends is that many people have too much stuff. Overflowing makeup drawers with products that haven’t been touched in years, shades that don’t suit them, and just way too many options can make the whole process feel overwhelming.

I highly recommend heading to Sephora when you have some free time and making it an enjoyable experience. Ask questions, test the products, feel the textures on your skin, and choose intentionally. Take note of what works best for you. I know how easy it is to get caught up in trends and want to buy what looks great on someone else, but it makes a world of difference to choose products that suit your needs.

Your makeup kit should be carefully curated and intentional. Fill it with products you love and shades that truly flatter you. Tailor it to how much makeup you like to wear and why you wear it!
