Hi everyone!

Can you believe Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away? As most of you know, I’m not American and didn’t grow up celebrating Thanksgiving, but after living in LA for over two decades, it has become one of my favorite holidays.

I still vividly remember my very first Thanksgiving. I was invited to celebrate with my brother’s girlfriend Renae’s family, and I immediately fell in love with the holiday. I got to experience all the classic recipes and dishes I’d never heard of before. What I adore most about Thanksgiving is its rich tradition—every family has their own secret recipes, and everyone seems to have that one nostalgic, childhood favorite dish they grew up with.

For me, it was love at first bite with sweet potatoes topped with marshmallows. It’s still my absolute favorite Thanksgiving dish because it brings back so many special memories. I’ve made it every year since, and now my kids feel the same way—they can’t imagine Thanksgiving without it.

In this post, I want to share my go-to side dishes with you. I’ll skip the turkey recipe—truthfully, I’m not great at making turkey and personally prefer ham. But the recipes I am sharing are the ones I make every year, and they’re always a crowd-pleaser.

I’m also including my favorite apple pie recipe. After trying countless versions, I’ve finally landed on the one, and I absolutely adore it. You can even watch a full tutorial on YouTube—it’s amazing!

Lastly, I want to share a few tips to help make your Thanksgiving prep a bit easier. Having a solid game plan for your shopping list and prep time is key to reducing stress when cooking and baking for the big day.
