Hi everyone,

I’m back this week with a long-overdue Substack post. This time, I wanted to talk about something a little more personal. As a woman—especially one who has spent her life working in an image-focused industry—body image has been a lifelong struggle. Anxiety around food has been with me for as long as I can remember. I have tried every cleanse, diet, exercise membership—everything. And yet, I couldn’t shake the extra few pounds, and more importantly, my mind was still consumed by “food noise.”

About a year ago, I decided to try GLP-1 medication, a tool I had heard about from friends who experienced amazing results. Opening up about this hasn’t been easy for me, because it feels so personal. There’s still a stigma around using medications or tools for weight loss, and part of me felt like admitting it might discredit all the other hard work I’ve put in. But I’ve come to realize that being open about it is important.

I don’t want anyone to look at me and think they’re not working hard enough, or wonder why their efforts aren’t paying off the same way. GLP-1 wasn’t a magic solution, and it didn’t do all the work for me. It was a tool—a helpful one—but the real changes in my life have come from the habits I’ve built and the mindset I’ve developed.

There’s so much I could write about when it comes to this topic, but this week I want to focus specifically on my new mindset around food, especially during the holiday season—a time that, in the past, brought me so much anxiety. For years, the holidays felt like a test of self-control and discipline. I would mentally prepare myself to “survive” this time of year, as if I needed to brace for impact. But here’s the thing: the holidays are just like any other occasion that might shift us out of our daily routine. The mindset we carry into them makes all the difference.

If this resonates with you or sparks curiosity, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Whether it’s questions about my journey, GLP-1, or how I approach food and fitness, feel free to reach out. If this is a topic you’d like me to explore further, I’m more than happy to share more in future posts. We’re all navigating this together, and if my story can help even one person, it’s worth it.
